The Learning Commons is a flexible, learner-centered space where collaboration, inquiry, imagination, and creation expand and deepen learning.
MISSION:
Our mission is to guide students and staff to be effective and ethical researchers and users of ideas and information. Our program promotes the love of reading and develops 21st century skills.
VISION:
We envision a physical and virtual space where all learners discover, create, inquire, and think critically to produce and communicate new knowledge both independently and collaboratively.
VALUES:
Provide quality assistance to students and staff in order to
integrate knowledge with resources
Provide curriculum-based print and on-line resources
that are up-to-date and easily accessible

Learning Commons Book Collection Guidelines
FHSD Learning Commons have a broad selection of books, in print and online, available for checkout. You may see what we have to offer by clicking on the ‘Learning Commons’ tab on your school’s web page and then select ‘Find a Book’. Destiny, our library management system, will allow you to search the collection by entering specific book titles, authors, or subjects. Log in with your student’s login credentials: (Login: firstinitiallastnamelast3digitsofID# and password: student created) to checkout eTitles, reserve books, etc.
